I just recently had a birthday. (not telling you how old I turned) It was a good one, I will say that.Even despite the fact that my birthday falls on 9-11. I had a few people who are very dear to me come over and we ate, talked and managed to get a few creations done. My DH took the kids out (did I mention I'm spoiled!!!?) and had the whole evening with my friends in complete serene!!! I love my children, but it was nice to have adult conversations. LOL And it was a blessing to be with my friends.
One of my most treasured gifts this year was a new CD by a family we know who compile their own CD's. They are a testimony of true devotion to the Lord and I am encouraged every time I listen to their music. They have a few now, and we are enjoying learning as a family to sing along with the music. Although I find it very difficult to find a favorite. I thought I would share their link should you care to check it out for yourself and hear a few samples of their music. My husband new them growing up. I know it will bless you immensely!!! It has blessed me!!!

Sincerely,
Sonja

Well Happy b-lated Birthday! Do you know its my wedding anniversary on 9-11? I was thinking about moving our special day up or down one day...but a dear woman told me not to. She said, "Its just a day, like any day in a year...something tragic happened on that day, but something tragic will happen again and again and it will always be someones Birthday or Anniversary". So I thought about it and just left it that way. The year it happened was our 25th wedding anniversary. Big celebration for that one, plus our oldest son had died in an accident a couple of months before. It was a hard time.

pattyjo,
Sadly, I knew I wasn't the only one. You got great advice from that friend. Life is such a gift. It (9-11) only reminds us to cherish it, no matter what special occasions we celebrate, or what day it happens to fall on, don't ya think?

Thanks for stopping by my blog, it's a blessing to have you comment!!

Sincerely,
Sonja
